About the role :

  • As part of the Trading andOptimisation team, the Trading Analyst will;

Providerobust fundamental analysis, engage in trading strategies, develop andmaintain models, review past analysis, own pricing tools andtrading-decision models such as European Pricing models, option pricingand simulation models.

Providemarket and competitor intelligence and be spotting areas to add value.

Bea key member of the team to support and direct the traders towards value,enabling them to make quick and informed decisions.

Who we’re looking for :

To be successful in this role you’llideally have…

  • Degreelevel education in a subject along the lines of science, maths, economicsor engineering
  • Aworking knowledge of UK power markets and experience and understanding ofpower generation units
  • Solidexperience with statistical and fundamental modelling using IT techniquessuch as; SQL, Python, Excel, Business Intelligence tools (Power BI); andbe able to apply a pragmatic approach to large data structures.
  • Agood understanding of the methods underlying linear and mixed integerprogramming with experience of building models and solving them withcommercial optimiserswould be beneficial.
