An exciting Autism Support Teaching Assistant role for future psychologists, therapists, counsellors, and SENCOs has become available that will provide invaluable experience for a future career.

A well-respected primary school in Calne is searching for an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to be employed on an immediate and long-term basis. The ASD child has an EHCP with explicit targets and outcomes and will require a dedicated and caring individual who will understand the precise needs of the child. The primary school is looking for an Autism Support Teaching Assistant who is engaging, empathetic, and demonstrates a genuine desire to make a positive impact on children with SEN. Previous experience working with children with Autism is advantageous for this Autism Support Teaching Assistant position.

This is an incredible opportunity for gaining experience within the Special Needs and Mental Health sector as you will have the chance in your role as an Autism Support Teaching Assistant to observe, work alongside, and collaborate with speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, occupational therapists, and teachers with SEN specialisms.

The primary school is highly regarded in the local area and has excellent transport links and on-site parking. The successful Autism Support Teaching Assistant will need to be fully committed to the child on a long-term basis. The SEN Teaching Assistant will be working extremely closely with the class teacher and SENCO, therefore being provided with specialist and expert support and training that will be vital for your personal development.
