Vice President of Engineering

Job Description

A high-growth B2B SaaS company is looking for a Vice President of Engineering to lead its engineering organisation through the next phase of scale. This is a key leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, knows how to structure, and evolve high-performing teams, and is passionate about delivering exceptional software products.

Reporting to the CTO, you'll lead a growing engineering function of ~75 people across multiple teams and disciplines. You'll be responsible for defining and evolving the engineering strategy, improving delivery performance, and enabling a culture of autonomy, quality, and continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have experience at a larger scale (teams of 100-200 people), due to the hyper-growth trajectory this business are on.

Vice President of Engineering – day-to-day :

• Own the engineering operating model; from team structure to delivery processes to support growth and complexity.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between technology and product outcomes.
• Drive technical and delivery excellence, using metrics (e.g. DORA) to measure and improve team performance.
• Influence architectural and platform decisions in line with the company’s long-term strategy.
