Data Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a dynamic project within the education sector. This role suits someone skilled in building automated data pipelines and creating insightful dashboards that make data accessible across an organisation.

You'll collaborate regularly with both internal teams and wider stakeholders across the university, gathering requirements, documenting specifications, and delivering analytics in a clear, engaging way to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement SQL relational database schemas

Develop automated data pipelines using Python

Process and analyse large-scale datasets

Build clear, user-friendly data visualisation dashboards

Translate user needs into effective data solutions

Essential Skills

Strong Python experience for data wrangling and statistical analysis

Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL

Proven track record in web-based dashboard development

Desirable Experience

Tools : Grafana, Postgres, MQTT

Integrating data from APIs into processing pipelines

Familiarity with the Elastic Stack (ELK)

Ability to interpret user needs and explain data insights effectively
