Job description

Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit!

Drive the design and development of Electrical Systems for the SMR nuclear power plant. Collaborate with top engineering teams and apply a structured systems engineering approach to develop innovative electrical solutions.

Your responsibilities include :

  • Define & Manage Requirements : Review, refine, and document electrical requirements, ensuring they are testable and aligned with project needs.
  • Design, Analyze & Verify : Develop robust electrical system designs, conduct functional analysis, modeling, and simulation, and verify performance through testing.
  • Ensure Compliance & Quality : Maintain engineering standards, conduct technical reviews, and ensure designs meet safety and regulatory standards.
  • Support Strategy & Risk Management : Participate in planning, identify risks, and support decision-making.
  • Develop & Share Knowledge : Establish policies, develop training materials, and provide expert advice.
  • Collaborate & Represent : Work with internal teams and represent electrical engineering in external meetings and engagements.

  • Qualifications :

  • Experience in electrical services design.
  • Expertise in space management, cable routing, and cable management.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently under deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Additional Information :

  • BPSS and SC clearance required.
  • Ability to travel within the UK.
  • Experience in electrical power generation or nuclear sector is advantageous.
  • Note : Applicants must meet residency criteria for UK security clearance.
