We are seeking a passionate and proactive Chef de Partie who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment. In this role, you will take full responsibility for your section, ensuring the consistent quality and presentation of dishes while actively supporting the wider kitchen team.

You will work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef, contributing to the smooth daily operation of the kitchen. With a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills, you will help maintain the highest standards in food preparation, hygiene, and safety.

Creativity is encouraged — you may assist in menu development and themed events, always delivering high-quality, culturally considerate dishes while adhering to company menu planning systems. You will be expected to follow all health, safety, and allergen guidelines in accordance with company policies.

As a Chef de Partie, you will be a role model within your section, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, teamwork, and a genuine passion for outstanding food and service.

The Role

  • Take ownership of your section by preparing and cooking dishes to a consistently high standard
  • Collaborate with the kitchen management team to contribute ideas for seasonal, client-focused menus
  • Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
  • Uphold excellent standards in food quality, hygiene, allergen control, and presentation
  • Ensure all practices meet company expectations and client needs
  • Monitor stock levels within your section and ensure accurate usage
  • Support cost control efforts by reducing waste and maximising efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and legally compliant kitchen environment
  • Work efficiently to minimise waste and make the best use of seasonal ingredients
  • Bring fresh, creative ideas to keep menu offerings relevant and engaging

About You

  • NVQ Level 2 (or working towards it) or an equivalent cookery qualification
  • A passion for food and delivering excellent service
  • Strong background as a chef, with proven team management skills
  • Advanced understanding of food hygiene principles
  • A brilliant communicator who can build strong, positive relationships
  • Confident in using Microsoft Office and related digital tools
  • A desire to succeed and grow in your role
  • Consistently delivers high-quality service with great attention to detail
