Job description

Responsibilities

  • Creation of CAD Models and Drawings : Producing detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to meet required standards.
  • Design Deliverables : Ensuring all design deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders during appropriate design phases to ensure coordination and functionality of design.
  • Technical Support : Providing technical support during the construction and installation phases.
  • Perform self-verification of work.
  • Reporting of technical progress and issues to line management.
  • Be aware of and ensure that safety, health and environmental requirements are implemented
  • Assist with the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of outputs.
  • Change embodiment.

Qualifications

  • The candidate is required to hold an NC / HNC or an equivalent qualification / experience in relatable discipline subject.
  • Apprenticeship in relevant discipline or relevant industry experience

    • Essential skills

  • Experience of the following key technical knowledge areas : Mechanical DesignStructural DesignPiping
  • Familiarity with shipbuilding / ship repair terminology and practices.
  • Be proficient in the use of one or more parametric / spec driven CAD system both in a 3D & 2D environment.

  • The successful candidate will ideally have post-graduate experience working in the naval maritime domain.
