Mixed Tax Manager / Senior Manager

Location : Altrincham

Salary : £50,000 - £58,000

About the Role

Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a highly reputable and progressive firm of chartered accountants in Altrincham. Due to continued success and growth, they are looking to appoint a Mixed Tax Manager or Senior Manager to play a key role in their tax team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied portfolio of clients including Owner Managed Businesses and High Net Worth Individuals.
• Work closely with existing Tax Managers across regional offices and provide excellent advisory services on corporate and personal tax issues.
• Contribute to the development of the firm’s tax services and engage in business development activities, liaising with new and existing clients.
• Undertake corporate tax work with some involvement in other taxes such as income tax, CGT, VAT.
• Oversee UK and international tax compliance, review work, and liaise with clients.
• Lead advisory projects including company valuations, reorganisations, acquisitions, sales, HMRC enquiries, share schemes, and tax reports.
• Maintain regular contact with HM Revenue and Customs, clients, and internal departments.
• Support and oversee junior staff, acting as a trusted deputy to the Tax partners.
