Special Needs Teaching Assistant Special Needs Teaching Assistant – (September Start) Milk Education is working closely with a number of SEND secondary schools in Salford to recruit experienced and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistants for September 2025. These full-time roles offer the opportunity to work with students with a range of special educational needs in a supportive and inclusive environment. If you have experience supporting young people with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, we would love to hear from you. Location : Salford Start Date : September 2025 Hours : Full-time (Monday to Friday, term time only) Contract : Long-term, with potential for ongoing or permanent roles Key Responsibilities : Provide 1 : 1 and small group support to students with special educational needs Help pupils access the curriculum and participate fully in school life Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement Implement strategies and interventions set by teachers and the SEN department Build strong, positive relationships with pupils to promote confidence and independence Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs, and external professionals What We’re Looking For : Previous experience working with young people with SEN in a school or similar setting A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting diverse learning needs Good communication and behaviour management skills Confidence working in a secondary school environment A proactive team player with a genuine passion for inclusive education The Milk Difference : Milk Education is a purpose-driven, eco-friendly education agency with a commitment to supporting staff and schools alike.
