Location :  Northampton Area

Salary : Up to £40,000 (DOE)

Are you a motivated and experienced technician or supervisor ready to step into a leadership role? We’re seeking a Service Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy service department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-respected company that values technical excellence, strong customer service, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and coordinate the daily operations of the service department , ensuring all work is completed on time and to high standards
  • Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback
  • Ensure excellent customer service is delivered, both in-house and on-site
  • Liaise with other departments including sales and parts to ensure smooth service workflow
  • Handle customer enquiries, quotes, and job scheduling efficiently
  • Monitor service performance metrics, technician productivity, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with all company and manufacturer processes
  • Oversee warranty and service claims, ensuring timely and accurate submissions
  • Assist with training and development of new technicians and apprentices

What We’re Looking For :

  • Proven experience within the agricultural, groundcare, plant, or machinery service industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of tractors, mowers, utility vehicles, or related equipment
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Professional communicator with excellent customer service skills
  • Competent with computer systems and service software
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
