Your Role : Key Responsibilities As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, youll lead the design and delivery of mechanical systems while driving the success of our Belfast office : Project Leadership : Oversee mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring they meet client needs, budgets, and sustainability goals. Technical Excellence : Design HVAC, plumbing, and energy systems using industry-standard tools (Revit, IES), adhering to regulations and best practices. Team Development : Mentor junior engineers, fostering a skilled and collaborative team in Belfast. Client Collaboration : Work with architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated, high-performance solutions. Innovation : Stay ahead of industry trends, incorporating sustainable technologies and practices into designs. Business Growth : Contribute to bids, client relationships, and the strategic expansion of Hive Groups Northern Ireland operations. Who Were Looking For Experience : 8+ years in mechanical building services design, with a strong track record in project leadership and technical delivery. Qualifications : Degree in Mechanical Engineering; Chartered Engineer status (or working toward CEng) is highly desirable. Technical Skills : Proficiency in HVAC design, energy efficiency, and BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD). Leadership : Ability to mentor teams, manage client relationships, and troubleshoot complex systems. Passion for Sustainability : Knowledge of green technologies and legislative standards (e.g., Part L, BREEAM).
