Logistics People are recruiting SIA Licenced Security Officers on behalf of Logistics Security to join our team.

Location : WR9, TF2, TF9 and SY5

Shift Pattern : Shifts may vary but are primarily 12 hours : 06 : 00-18 : 00, 07 : 00-19 : 00, 18 : 00-06 : 00, and 19 : 00-07 : 00

Pay Rate : GBP 12.71 - GBP 14.71 per hour (depending on site)

Working with over 200 extensively trained Security Personnel during peak periods, we focus on developing and implementing comprehensive security supply chain strategies. Our operations involve delivering security resolutions to major Logistics providers across an extensive depot network, spread over 50 sites in the UK, ensuring their operation is running smoothly 24 / 7.

Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Security Support Officer to join our team, working within our Warehouse and Distribution depots, supporting our existing clients. You must demonstrate high-quality guarding skills and excellent customer service to clients and service users.

Role Overview

You will support multiple busy sites operating 365 days a year. The role requires computer literacy, good telephone manners, and a positive customer service approach. You will primarily cover absences across 4 sites with post codes WR9, TF2, TF9, and SY5. A full driving license and your own vehicle are required, with travel expenses reimbursed monthly.

This is a 42-hour week, typically 3 : 4 x 12-hour shifts across a 7-day week, including weekends. Shifts will vary and include day and night shifts, requiring flexibility. Premiums are paid for Bank Holiday working, and overtime is available.

Benefits include 5.6 weeks paid holiday, weekly or monthly pay options, SIA license renewal and top courses covered after a 6-month probation period, training, and duties such as site visits, access control, reception duties, CCTV monitoring, accepting deliveries, weighbridge operation, key control, pool car bookings, and paperwork completion.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in the security industry
• Good verbal and written English
• PC literate, able to use Office365
• SIA Licence (SG / DS)
• UK driving license and access to own vehicle
• First aid certification preferred
• Flexible with shift patterns and short notice work
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Excellent customer service skills
• High personal presentation standards
• Punctuality and attendance
