Financial Controller (Derry / Manufacturing)

The Role :

  • Lead and direct a small finance team, including financial and management accounting processes, P&L and Balance Sheet review, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure complete financial control, including compliance with applicable GAAP, corporate accounting policies, and audit requirements.
  • Oversee monthly reporting for the site and communicate results to all stakeholders.
  • Oversee the Monthly R&O and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Participate in formulating and delivering business strategy.
  • Drive business improvement through accurate and timely financial information, working closely with cross-functional managers.
  • Support commercial decision-making processes and business development.
  • Provide accurate machine costing information.
  • Implement cycle counting procedures.
  • Ensure annual planning and budgeting are delivered on time, aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Manage the working capital cycle, focusing on inventory and receivables control.
  • Provide cash flow analysis.
  • Support the implementation of new IT systems and structures.
  • Establish credit limits, resolve disputes, and monitor collections.
  • Support and approve Capex strategies.
  • About you

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Management experience in a commercial environment, ideally manufacturing.
  • Experience as a financial or business analyst; operational experience is advantageous.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to learn ERP systems.
  • Comfortable dealing with senior stakeholders.
