Developer Role - Mycannabis

Title : Developer

Location : Hybrid / Stockport – 1 day a week (Thursday)

Salary : Dependent on experience

The Role

We’re looking for a flexible, communicative Developer to join Mycannabis , a fast-moving digital business in the medical cannabis space.

You’ll support teams across marketing, product, and operations—jumping between projects, solving problems, and delivering clean, scalable code. Expect a mix of WordPress and Laravel work, bug fixing, feature building, and general tech support across the business.

This is a great fit for someone who thrives on variety, works well with non-technical teams, and loves making an impact.

What You’ll Do

Build and maintain websites / web apps (WordPress + Laravel)

Jump into ongoing projects, fix bugs, ship features

Collaborate with design / content to bring ideas to life

Improve performance, UX, and internal workflows

Support teams with technical insights and problem-solving

Stay on top of best practices and suggest new tools or approaches

Must-Have Skills

Great communication and helpful attitude

Comfortable switching between projects and teams

3+ years in web development

WordPress (PHP)

Solid HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Bonus Skills

Node.js / React

Laravel experience

End-to-end testing (e.g. Playwright, Cypress)

DevOps (CI / CD, Docker)

Shopify / WooCommerce

SEO, accessibility, or AI

Jira (or similar tools)

Interest in the medical cannabis space
