Job description

Job Title : Sales Manager – Wholesale, Convenience, Foodservice & Travel Retail

Location : Field Based (with one day per week in the office)

Salary : £35,000 – £45,000 per annum + Car Allowance + Bonus

Contract Type : Full Time, Permanent

With a collaborative culture and a passion for excellence, we are now looking for a driven Account Manager to join our commercial team.

The Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of wholesale, convenience, foodservice, and travel retail accounts. Working field-based, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales, building strong customer relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth across your designated channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing accounts within the wholesale, convenience, foodservice and travel retail sectors.
  • Develop and implement joint business plans with key customers to drive mutual growth.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in line with company objectives.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, reviews, and presentations to support account development.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and category teams to ensure alignment and delivery of objectives.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all commercial agreements and promotional activity.

About You

  • Previous experience in an FMCG sales or account management role, ideally within one or more of the target sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the UK retail and out-of-home landscape.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
