The Role As an Electrical Design Engineer , youll work closely with the business owner to design bespoke automation machinery as the company embark on a period of significant growth with full order books. This is the start of their exciting expansion plans and this person will play a key role in the future of the company. Key Responsibilities Understand and interpret customer / process requirements. Prepare functional design specifications and user manuals. Design electrical systems using EPLAN ProPanel , including 3D layout drawings. Create accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) for procurement and documentation. Collaborate with design and controls engineers to meet overall system needs. Support commissioning processes (FAT & SAT). Ensure compliance with safety directives and technical standards. Occasionally travel for customer meetings and site support. Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience Proficient in EPLAN ProPanel or similar electrical design software. Familiar with SISTEMA and safety-related system design. Experieced in Control Panel design Experience in special-purpose machinery, automation, robotics, conveyor and vision systems. Strong communicator with excellent time management skills. Knowledge of UKCA / CE compliance and technical file creation. Degree or HNC / HND / BTECt in Electrical Engineering. Experienced in electrical design within automation or manufacturing. Interested?
