Job descriptionPrepare monthly management accounts for multiple UK group companies Oversee monthly payroll for 60+ employees, including pension administration Manage an Accounts Administrator, overseeing sales and purchase ledger activities and supplier payment runs Deliver regular financial reporting, including KPIs, cash flow management, and business analytics Conduct bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and ad hoc financial reporting Submit quarterly VAT returns and assist in annual budget preparation and financial forecasting Implement effective cash flow management and reporting Establish and maintain accounting controls, systems, and processes Assist with stock control, customs queries, and process improvements Examine financial reports to ensure accurate record-keeping Lead annual audit preparations and produce statutory accounts in collaboration with external accountants Prepare R&D tax claims Act as the main point of contact for banking and financial compliance matters Collaborate with the management team to drive efficiencies and financial improvements Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial operations Strong understanding of core accounting processes, data analysis, and forecasting methods Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence Advanced Excel proficiency Experience within a manufacturing / industrial environment Experienced user of Sage or similar
