Property Experience Preferred- Full time. Office based

Our client is a well-established firm of accountants with a large and varied client base.

One of their key clients is expanding and now requires a full-time, on-site bookkeeper.

The work requires an experienced bookkeeper from either a firm of accountants or a commercial company.

There are volume property and construction-related transactions, so experience in this field is preferred.

UK Work permit and VISA required. No sponsorship available.

Requirements

  • Ideally, experience in Property Management and real estate accounts
  • Experience managing books for property-related transactions
  • Ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for multiple properties and entities
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including rent collection and vendor payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and trust accounts
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Track income and expenses by property or unit
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
  • Prepare and submit BAS, GST, and other statutory obligations (if applicable)
  • Coordinate with property managers regarding lease agreements, rent rolls, and tenant issues.
  • Manage petty cash, payroll processing, and employee reimbursements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant real estate and financial regulations
  • Liaise with external accountants and auditors

Your background should show

Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the property or real estate sector

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or property-specific systems like PropertyMe, Console Cloud, or Buildium)

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Preferred Qualifications :
  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Bookkeeping, Accounting, or a related field

    Experience with property trust accounting and tenant ledger management.

    Understanding of lease structures and property management terms

    Familiarity with local real estate laws and compliance requirements

    An excellent salary commensurate with experience. Possibly an hourly rate initially, and then a permanent salary

    Excellent working conditions and the opportunity to learn from senior staff and develop

    Office-based 5 days a week.
