Senior Physiotherapist (British Rowing) - Maternity Cover
The Opportunity
British Rowing and the UK Sports Institute are offering an exciting full-time Senior Physiotherapist position to work with the Olympic Women’s squad. We seek an experienced practitioner familiar with high-performance sporting teams.
You will be a key member of a close-knit high-performance team, collaborating with rowing coaches, strength and conditioning specialists, and support personnel across various science and medicine roles. Our goal is to help rowers achieve podium success globally.
The GBRT has an excellent track record at Olympic and Paralympic levels and aims to continue delivering successful performances at LA 2028 and Brisbane 2032.
Location :
Based at the bespoke NTC in Caversham (near Reading), British Rowing provides on-water and land training with world-class coaching and support services. The role is mainly in person, with some remote support. Travel for camps and competitions is approximately 85 days per year, often in two-week blocks.
Role requirements :
The typical week is Monday to Friday, with some weekend work and attendance at camps and competitions.

This is an exciting opportunity within one of Great Britain’s most successful sports teams. Reporting to the Athlete Health (MSK) Lead and working with the Olympic Women’s squad, you will have a positive impact on athlete performance. Experience in rowing is not essential but a willingness to learn about the sport is important.
We seek a highly qualified, collaborative practitioner capable of working in a demanding, interdisciplinary environment. Accessibility, approachability, and visibility are key qualities.
Bring enthusiasm and energy, with a genuine desire to support athletes in achieving their dreams. Experience in rowing is not necessary, but passion for learning about the sport is.
