Bank Learning Support Assistant -  Swansea - £13.69 per hour

A typical day will include :

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the lives of our young people, supporting our pupil’s educational and personal development. Working closely with our teaching team, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impression and impact on the lives of our pupils, supporting them as they overcome challenges and reach their goals. What a Learning Support Assistant does :

  • Providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities using a variety of teaching approaches and activities support pupils to make progress towards their agreed accreditations.
  • Supporting teachers with the planning, preparation, and assessment of learning opportunities.
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of off-site activities.
  • Assisting pupils who require help during morning routines, lunch / break times or with personal care.

  • Qualification in English & Maths;
  • Ability to relate well to pupils and build positive and respectful relationships that are on a professional level;
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Must be able to show initiative;
  • Ability to offer personal care in a respectful way.
  • Please note : This job role involves regulated activity with adults and children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
