Business Development Manager - Perimeter Protection

Location : Kent

Salary : £40,000-£50,000 basic + uncapped commission (£80,000+)

We are looking for a driven and proactive Business Development Manager to join a leading provider of perimeter protection and security fencing solutions. This role is focused on generating new business opportunities through both reactive and proactive lead management, helping the company grow its client base across commercial, industrial, and residential sectors.

As a Business Development Manager, you will own the full sales cycle from identifying potential clients, engaging leads, presenting tailored security solutions, to closing deals and ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work closely with internal teams but will not have direct management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Develop new business through proactive outreach and effective handling of reactive leads.

Build strong, consultative relationships with prospective clients to understand their security fencing needs.

Present customised perimeter protection solutions that align with client requirements.

Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure client specifications are met.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using CRM software.

Keep informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and product developments to maintain a competitive edge.

Consistently meet and exceed sales targets with a results-driven approach.

Requirements :

Proven track record in B2B business development or sales, ideally within security, construction, or a related industry.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients effectively.

Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a focus on delivering results.

Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently and manage your own pipeline.

Experience using CRM systems and sales tools to manage leads and opportunities.

No technical background required, but a willingness to learn about perimeter security solutions is essential.
