Senior Quantity Surveyor

Join a leading Tier 1 main contractor delivering complex civil engineering projects across the UK. We're seeking a proactive and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial ownership of a significant £50 million highways development in Surrey .

This is a pivotal role for someone with a main contracting background who excels in managing financial control, maximizing value, and building strong client / subcontractor relationships on major infrastructure schemes.

What You'll Deliver (Key Responsibilities) :

You'll manage the project's comprehensive commercial function :

• Establish and control project budgets, including detailed cost reporting and forecasting (costs to date, cost to completion, cash flow).
• Expertly review contracts, including stepping down terms from main to subcontracts.
• Lead subcontractor procurement , tender documentation, and finalisation.
• Administer main contracts and subcontracts, ensuring NEC contract compliance.
• Conduct delay analysis , compile narratives, and prepare loss and expense claims (highly preferable).
• Manage variation / compensation event mechanisms for commercial protection.
