Wethersfield Primary School (part of The Chorus Schools Federation) are looking to appoint a Class Teacher .

Your responsibilities

As Class Teacher you will :

  • maintain consistently high standards in relation to all aspects of the Teachers Standards
  • teach a class and work constructively as a member of staff within the whole school team
  • promote the ethos of the school within the context of being a church school
  • plan teach monitor assess and evaluate the curriculum to ensure children make strong progress
  • share in the corporate responsibility for the well-being and behaviour of all pupils
  • set high expectations which inspire motivate and challenge pupils
  • promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
  • demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • plan and teach well-structured lessons
  • adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
  • make accurate and productive use of assessment
  • manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
  • fulfil wider professional responsibilities.

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Right to work in UK
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
  • Teaching experience and a proven track record in the classroom
  • Knowledge understanding and skills to meet the Techers Standard

    Are you looking for a great place to teachWethersfield Primary Schoolis part of a federation of schools known as The Chorus Schools Federation in a fantastic location in North Essex near Braintree and Halstead.

    We are looking for a great class teacher to join our supportive team from September onwards on a 1 years fixed term contract.

    Ideally suited to an experienced individual either KS1 OR KS2 we would still welcome applications from ECTs. Job share would also be considered for the right candidates.
