Job Opportunity at UBS : Quantitative Developer - Structured Products

  • Advance UBS's Structured Products pricing methodology in close cooperation with trading and quants.
  • Expand UBS's client offering by onboarding new products onto the platform, making them available to salespeople and clients.
  • Drive innovation in Structured Products by automating novel payoffs and providing new functionality and analytics.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across trading, structuring, sales, quants, IT, and control functions.
  • Demonstrate accountability with integrity—take ownership, deliver high-quality work, and strive for operational excellence in a fast-moving, highly-regulated environment.

About the Pricing Platform Team

The team is responsible for developing UBS's Structured Products quoting platform, servicing internal sales and structurers, as well as external clients trading electronically worldwide. We aim to deliver an industry-leading platform powered by advanced quant analytics to reinforce UBS's position as a global Structured Products leader.

Your Expertise

  • Strong academic background in a quantitative field (mathematics, physics, engineering, computer science, etc.), with a postgraduate degree being a strong advantage.
  • Ability to multi-task in a rapidly-changing environment and adapt to last-minute schedule changes.
  • Understanding of financial markets and derivatives; front-office experience is a strong advantage.
  • Quick learner with the ability to communicate complex ideas fluently.
  • Proficiency in Python or Java; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous, with the ability to rapidly prototype ideas through code.
