The Opportunity

This role involves leading activities supporting facilities and equipment maintenance at the Ridings Point facility, ensuring technicians and contractors have the necessary tools, resources, and training.

The successful candidate will oversee proactive and reactive maintenance within the Ridings Point distribution centre.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead a team of 3 Technicians
  • Serve as key user for CMMS system and weekly planner
  • Act as first escalation point for breakdowns in the Distribution centre
  • Plan and organize contractor work following the annual compliance and maintenance schedule
  • Coordinate with contractors and issue permits for site activities
  • Follow up on statutory inspection work
  • Ensure timely completion of critical calibration tasks
  • Promote a safety and compliance culture
  • Manage spare parts ordering and inventory
  • Use Ariba / SAP to raise facilities purchase orders
  • Perform hands-on completion of PPMs
  • Coordinate with quality teams and support change control processes
  • Lead root cause analysis and investigations of incidents
  • Support site CAPEX plans
  • Author SOPs for facilities team at Ridings Point and Harlow
  • Maintain 5S standards in facilities areas
  • Participate in site meetings and communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • Conduct contractor inductions and annual reviews
  • Lead team meetings in the absence of the technical manager
  • Identify new suppliers and service providers to add value
  • Monitor email alerts for critical systems and respond promptly
  • Analyze reports from BMS and EMS systems and react accordingly
  • Lead annual reviews of all facilities RA’s and COSHH assessments

Who We're Looking For

Do You Have?

  • An Engineering Apprenticeship or Degree
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification
  • Knowledge of PUWER / LOLER regulations
  • Experience managing a team of Technicians or similar
  • Experience managing contractors and suppliers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CMMS, and CAFM systems
  • AutoCAD & IPAF (3a & 3b) certifications would be desirable
