Role : Primary SEN Teacher

Location : SK7, Stockport

Start Date : September 2025

Hours : Part-time - 4 mornings + 1 full day per week

Pay : Pay varies depending on experience and whether it is a half day or full day

Contract : Long-term - full academic year

Reeson Education is working with a fantastic and supportive primary school in the SK7 area to recruit a dedicated Primary SEN Teacher for a part-time position starting in September 2025 . This Primary SEN Teacher role will run for the full academic year and will involve teaching EYFS and KS1 pupils with a range of special educational needs.

The school has a strong, inclusive ethos and is known for its nurturing environment and excellent SEN provision. The successful Primary SEN Teacher will work across small groups and one-to-one settings, planning differentiated lessons and supporting pupils with complex needs including communication difficulties, global delay, and sensory processing needs.

Key responsibilities of the Primary SEN Teacher :

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning as a Primary SEN Teacher
  • Plan engaging, accessible lessons for pupils with a range of SEN
  • Teach small groups and 1 : 1 sessions across EYFS and KS1
  • Assess and track pupil progress in your Primary SEN Teacher role
  • Adapt resources and strategies to support individual learning needs
  • Work closely with the school's SENCO and other support staff
  • Use visuals, sensory tools and routine-based learning approaches
  • Create a calm, structured and emotionally supportive learning environment
  • Uphold safeguarding practices as a responsible Primary SEN Teacher
  • Be a consistent, caring and creative Primary SEN Teacher in the classroom
  • This Primary SEN Teacher role is ideal for someone who :

  • Holds QTS and has experience in SEN or early years teaching
  • Is confident teaching pupils with EHCPs and complex needs
  • Has a good understanding of EYFS / KS1 development and SEN strategies
  • Is looking for a part-time, long-term Primary SEN Teacher role
  • Lives locally or can easily travel to the SK7 area of Stockport
