With a strong presence across the UK, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and expertise to our customers. We are currently looking to recruit a Branch Auditor, primarily covering the Midlands and South of England. This role plays a key part in ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of our branch operations across the UK. The Branch Auditor will be responsible for reviewing key controls and operational practices, identifying areas for improvement, and supporting continuous performance enhancements throughout our branch network.

What’s the role?

As the Branch Auditor, you will deliver branch audits across a range of areas to an agreed timetable or according to management requests. Audits focus mainly on areas of high risk such as stock and cash but will also include other key control areas through reviews of branch administration and procedures. Dependant on business need, the Branch Auditor may also conduct Chain of Custody, Data Protection reviews and will also look to identify other areas of risk in a branch and report on them. Post audit, you will feed back the results to the Branch and Senior Leadership team, agreeing an action plan to improve the control environment. The Branch Auditor will be responsible for writing clear and simple reports capturing issues and actions and then support branches through any changes that need to be implemented. You’ll also need to conduct ad hoc investigations in response to potential issues that are identified by regional or central teams.

The successful candidate will require :

• A willingness to travel extensively around the country, ideally from a base in the Southeast of England, requiring regular overnight stays
• Relevant experience in an auditing role, whether through branch audit or as an internal auditor, or to have the awareness and demonstrable experience of working in a branch and wanting to develop your career
• Strong influencing skills with the ability to guide internal staff and work closely with the Compliance functions whilst influencing key stakeholders at all levels
• Experience in a related industry construction, distribution, supply chain
• Excellent Stakeholder Management and communication skills, with strong operational business awareness and a high level of attention to detail
• The ability to maintain strict confidence regarding audit requirements
• The drive and ambition to support the development and implementation of new or additional procedures, with the integrity to comply with our high ethical and professional standards
• Highly self-motivated and resilient, with the ability to work individually and as part of a wider team
• Demonstrable IT skills, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Word with knowledge of K8 (ERP) beneficial but not essential
