Job Title : Sales & Marketing Director

Location : Chester (Hybrid 12 days in the office with some travel to sites)

Salary : per annum bonus (1020% of salary)

Reporting to : Board of Directors

About the Company

My client is a well-established mid-sized care home group based in Cheshire providing high-quality residential nursing and dementia care across the region. The business is entering an exciting phase of growth with increasing occupancy levels and strong EBITDA performance. As part of its continued development the organisation is looking to appoint a commercially minded Sales & Marketing Director to help shape and lead its sales and marketing strategy.

The Role

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for all aspects of marketing brand positioning and business development across the group. The successful candidate will work closely with the board and senior operational team to drive private market occupancy lead the marketing function and help position the business for long-term success.

Youll manage and develop the internal marketing team oversee digital and traditional campaigns and ensure strong local engagement with the communities the homes serve. While experience in the care sector would be advantageous candidates with relevant experience in adjacent sectors (e.g. healthcare hospitality or senior living) will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a group-wide marketing and business development strategy focused on occupancy growth and brand visibility.
  • Drive enquiries and conversion particularly in the self-funding / private market.
  • Oversee digital presence PR local engagement and events activity.
  • Lead and support a small internal team across marketing and sales functions.
  • Act as a key member of the senior team contributing to wider commercial and strategic discussions at board level.
  • Work collaboratively with Home Managers and Regional Operations Managers to understand local market dynamics and support tailored marketing approaches.
  • Carry out regular site visits to ensure brand consistency and support home-level initiatives.
  • Report regularly to the board on activity results and opportunities.

Candidate Profile

Essential :

  • Proven track record in a senior marketing or commercial role ideally at director level.
  • Experience leading teams and managing multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of occupancy-driven businesses.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Based within reasonable reach of Chester with flexibility for occasional travel.

    • Desirable :

  • Previous experience in the care sector or in a related field such as private healthcare senior living or hospitality.
  • A good understanding of the regulatory environment and customer decision-making in care home placements.

    • Working Arrangements

  • Hybrid working typically 12 days per week in the Chester office.
  • Occasional travel to care homes across the group.

    • Remuneration

  • Base salary : (depending on experience)
  • Bonus up to 20% of base salary performance-related
