About the Role

We are seeking a Structural Engineer at Engineer, Senior, or Principal level, based at Hattersley or within any of our UK regions with hybrid working options. Working in a leading Design and Build environment offers dynamic and challenging design opportunities. You will see your designs come to life quickly, which is highly rewarding. The role involves working nationally on diverse design challenges across 9 water frameworks, ideal for someone who thrives on unique projects. Reporting directly to the Structures Lead, you will provide high-quality Engineering Design services to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering contracts. The role requires coordinating the design and producing Structural design documents and drawings, considering health and safety requirements, specifications, and standards related to the contract.

Responsibilities

• Produce structural design calculations for Water Treatment and Sewage Treatment plants, including new builds and modifications.
• Review structural content of construction drawings / models.
• Review subcontract design proposals.
• Ensure work is considered for buildability, standardization, DfMA, and safety, complying with CDM regulations.
• Design reinforced concrete and steelwork to relevant Eurocodes and British Standards.
• Coordinate and liaise within a multi-discipline organization, including construction oversight and site support.
• Follow procedures and processes to develop the discipline continuously.
• Plan resources and be responsible for project delivery within budget and schedule.
• Coordinate designs with other disciplines and utilize internal and external resources.
• Support civil design staff and help develop junior staff.
• Ensure designs consider environmental issues.
• Assist in improving processes and procedures.
• Collaborate with the extended team in Pune, India.
