Title : Staff Product Designer

Location : London, United Kingdom (Hybrid / office attendance may be expected periodically)

Seniority : Staff-level (equivalent to Principal-level in other orgs)

Team : International Expansion – targeting products localized for Australia, India, Singapore, Brazil, etc.

Job Type : Full-time

You’ll be working at the intersection of international product expansion, payments, localization, onboarding, and compliance , helping Coinbase create market-ready, regulatory-compliant, culturally relevant user experiences .

This is not just a UI role — you’ll shape the core product roadmap and expand global access to crypto for millions of users. It's especially ideal for a seasoned designer passionate about :

  • Emerging markets
  • Scalable UX systems
  • Crypto adoption and accessibility

You’ll own end-to-end product design for international markets, including :

  • Tailor Coinbase’s products to local market needs (payment rails, language, UX flow adaptations)
  • Ensure top-tier localization — not just language, but cultural UX nuance

    • 2. Feature Ownership

  • Own high-impact initiatives (e.g., activation, onboarding, incentives , CRM)
  • Design for 0→1 product launches in emerging markets
  • Partner with country pods to ensure design reflects user and regulatory needs
  • Drive design quality, vision, and UX maturity
  • Lead user testing and research , incorporating findings into iterations
  • Collaborate with illustrators and marketers to design localized campaign assets

    • 4. Cross-functional Partnership

  • Deep collaboration with PMs, Engineers, Researchers, Legal & Compliance
  • Sync with Design Systems to ensure consistent, scalable solutions

    • What Coinbase Is Looking For

    Required Skills :

  • 10+ years in Product Design, ideally with international product experience
  • Strong end-to-end product thinking (strategy, systems, execution)
  • Fluency in tools like Figma , prototyping platforms, and design systems
  • Cross-functional experience : You’ve shipped with engineers, PMs, and legal teams
  • Ability to mentor peers and participate in design critique with clarity and humility
  • Excitement about crypto, fintech, or economic freedom missions

    • Nice to Haves :

  • Fintech or crypto product experience
  • Worked across multiple global regions
  • Familiar with compliance-UX challenges
  • Experience with customer support UX
  • Led or helped launch 0→1 startup products or features
