Job description

Retail Assistant - Full Time, 39 hours

We are recruiting a new retail assistant for our shop in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. This is a permanent full-time position, offering 39 hours per week across a variety of shifts, 5 days out of 7. Flexibility in availability, including weekends, is generally required.

Pay & Benefits :

The hourly rate depends on age :

  • 10.10 for ages 16-20
  • 12.31 for ages 21 and over

    • As a Retail Assistant, your responsibilities include :

  • Welcoming customers with a friendly smile and greeting
  • Assisting customers in finding products
  • Providing quick and friendly service at the tills, including packing assistance and polite goodbyes
  • Handling stock carefully, working deliveries, and replenishing shelves and freezers
  • Collaborating with team members to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop environment

  • Reliability and team dependability
  • Flexibility in shifts, with planned rota three weeks in advance, accommodating outside commitments
