About The Role
Please note that this is a fixed-term role for six months, working full-time - 27.5 hours per week.
As an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness is at the core of everything you do. It influences all aspects of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. The role involves planning and implementing activities that will delight our Residents, assisting the Home Manager with organising fundraising events, and encouraging socialisation and engagement based on Residents’ hobbies and interests. You will work with the care team to promote kindness and understanding in all interactions.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, ideally with a background in developing activity programmes. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, and good planning, organisational, and IT skills are essential. You should be considerate and kind in all communications with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to act if concerns arise. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training. You must be proactive in seeking advice and reporting concerns, escalating issues when necessary.
