Job Title : SEN Teaching Assistant – Essex

Salary : £89–£95 per day

Contract : Full-time, Long-Term

We’re looking for compassionate, confident SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils in specialist and mainstream settings across Essex. You might be helping a child with autism navigate their school day, or offering a quiet anchor in a bustling classroom. Either way, your presence will mean everything.

What you’ll be doing :

Providing 1 : 1 or small group support to pupils with SEND

Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

Helping children build confidence, routines, and positive learning habits

Creating a safe, inclusive space where every child feels seen

You’ll need :

Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school-based or otherwise)

A calm, kind approach—even on the trickier days

Brilliant communication and a team-player attitude

Bonus points if you’re Thrive trained —but if not, we offer free training to help you stand out to schools looking for emotionally literate support staff.
