Principle Clinical Psychologist

Fixed Term - 9 months

Please note : As this post is part-time, the salary will be pro-rata.

Job Purpose :

• To support the development and provision of a specialist psychology service, including supervision of a team of psychologists and / or trainees, and to take responsibility and leadership as the Psychology representative in designated specialist areas.
• To provide clinical supervision and support related to psychological assessment, therapy, and management provided by trainee psychologists, multidisciplinary clinicians, and staff within the designated clinical area.
• To be responsible for providing psychology teaching, training, consultancy, and supervision activities within a governance structure.
• To undertake audit and research relevant to the service area.
• To manage a specialist caseload.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership / record. If not currently a PVG member for the required regulatory group (child and / or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting.
