Opportunity : Workshop Engineer

Contract : Permanent

Location : Lisburn

The Briggs Equipment Group is a leading provider of asset management and maintenance solutions across the UK and Ireland.

Due to growth in our Engineering team, we are now looking for a Workshop Engineer to join our supportive and friendly team in Lisburn .

We are keen to see CVs from candidates who have experience within one of the following sectors : forklift trucks, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, HGVs, passenger carrying vehicles or similar machinery .

In this role you will be :

  • Servicing and maintaining diesel, LPG, and electrical materials handling equipment
  • Fault finding, completing planned preventative maintenance, and pre-delivery inspections of forklift trucks
  • Ensuring customer service is kept to a high level and addressing any queries
  • Adhering to safety guidelines and policies set out by customers and Briggs Equipment
  • Completing job activities electronically and ensuring all required parts are ordered
  • Maintaining and developing customer relationships through high standards of service

What will help you to excel in this role :

  • NVQ Level 3 or relevant technical qualification
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
  • The ability to work independently and under pressure
  • The ability to manage and prioritize workload
  • Understanding customer needs
