Head Barista

As Head barista you will be the coffee master of our store. Your extensive knowledge about coffee will help you to lead the team, support with all the bar operations and promoting carpo by providing unforgettable experiences.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Head Barista to join our team at carpo Glass House, Piccadilly. As Head Barista, you will play a key role in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers while upholding the standards of quality and service that define our establishment. If you are passionate about coffee and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, we want to hear from you!

Daily life at carpo…

• Provides the perfect service experience for every customer.
• Prepares and serves a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks, pour-over coffee, specialty brews, and a variety of classic cocktails according to established recipes and standards.
• Provides friendly and attentive customer service, engaging with customers to understand their preferences.
• Operates coffee equipment, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers, with precision and care, maintaining cleanliness and functionality.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace, including coffee preparation areas, equipment, and serving stations, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborates with team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient service during peak hours.
• Trains new and existing team members on the bar standards and ensuring that these are followed at all times.
• Assists the General Manager with scheduling, rotas, stock management and inventory
• Contributes to a positive work environment by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and a passion for coffee excellence.
• Looks for ways to avoid was te and limit costs and m ust follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
• Is a shining example of good behaviour and high performance.
