Business Director - Global Legal, Risk and Compliance

Regulatory Compliance Manager

IDEX Consulting are currently looking to speak to Compliance professional with hands-on experience in FCA regulatory filings and a background in the insurance intermediary sector.

We're hiring a Compliance Manager to join a collaborative UK compliance team and take the lead on regulatory submissions, frameworks, and global compliance initiatives.

The Role

This is a dynamic and evolving position, recently expanded to include broader compliance responsibilities. Around 50% of your time will focus on managing FCA regulatory returns (via Connect), including RMAR submissions, Approved Persons forms, and licensing changes.

In addition to regulatory filings, you’ll be involved in enhancing the Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR) , leading on fit and proper assessments, and acting as a Global Topic Owner for Anti-Corruption and Anti-Fraud frameworks. You’ll be a trusted advisor to business units and play a key role in cross-functional compliance projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation and submission of FCA regulatory filings (e.g., RMAR, Appointed Representatives, Change of Controllers).
Maintain and update the Group’s licences and regulatory permissions.
Monitor regulatory developments and keep internal stakeholders informed.
Support regulatory compliance during acquisitions and integrations.
Oversee and enhance SMCR processes and declarations.
Provide practical compliance advice to business stakeholders.
Develop and manage anti-corruption and anti-fraud controls and policies at a global level.
Support and lead compliance-driven projects within the Group.

About You

Compliance experience in an insurance brokerage or intermediary environment.

Strong working knowledge of FCA Connect and FCA returns.

Practical experience with SMCR and Fit & Proper assessments.

Familiarity with Anti-Corruption and Anti-Fraud frameworks, with global or cross-border exposure a plus.

Self-starter with the maturity to operate independently and confidently engage senior stakeholders.

Comfortable working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
