Location : Perth or Glasgow, Scotland - Hybrid Working Available
Salary : Circa £35,200.00 - £45,100.00 negotiable dependant on experience plus :
- 25 days per year holidays plus bank

A specialist environmental consultancy supporting UK public and private organisations throughout planning and development are seeking to hire a Senior Environmental Consultant
Reporting tothe ECoW and Aquatics Business Manager this is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career development.
You will have a natural flair for working with people, confident providing technical advice and thrives in a problem solving environment. You will be primarily responsible for ensuring excellent service is provided to our clients during the construction phases of their projects, applying technical knowledge and expertise within the national policy and legislation guidelines.
What You'll Do :
Input and production of the construction phase documentsOversee compliance on site in conjunction with the client, the delivery of all measures detailed in the Site-Specific Environmental Management Plans and supporting method statementsSite checks for protected and notable speciesInvestigating and reporting on ecological incidentsMonitoring and advising on, pollution prevention measuresCompletion and on occasion reviewing of ECoW logs and reportingProduction and delivery of toolbox talks to the site team and sub-contractorsLiaising with stakeholders, statutory bodies other organisations as and when requiredMentoring and training of junior members of the teamAssist the team lead and Business Manager in the scoping, tendering and management of projectsHave an excellent understanding of health and safety, and biosecurity mattersSeeking someone with :
Two to five years' experience as an ecological / environmental consultant with construction site based roles on a variety of different projectsAn understanding of water environment regulations, relevant guidance and environmental legislationCompetent in a variety of ecological survey techniques and mitigation design for protected speciesKnowledge and practical experience of peat and surface water management on construction sitesHigher Education Certificate, or Degree equivalent in an environmental subject areaFull and valid driving licenceAppropriate professional membership (or ability to obtain this)Holder of a CSCS cardIT proficiency, particularly within Microsoft applications and project management and planning softwareProtected species licenses would be advantageousFull and valid driving licenceTo apply for this fantastic opportunity get in touch with a copy of your CV detailing your suitability
