Assistant Drainage Engineer

My client, a highly-respected, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for an Assistant Drainage Engineer to join their growing team of experts near the lively, diverse Northern city of Manchester.

Essential Criteria :

A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering

Demonstrable experience of having worked with Drainage Strategies, Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS), etc. in a design capacity

Experience of drainage design and sewerage connections

Excellent working knowledge of the appropriate applications of Section Agreements S104 and S106

Working knowledge of MicroDrainage WinDES, TUFLOW, and other software packages

It would also benefit applicants for the role of Assistant Drainage Engineer to possess the following skills :

Extensive use of other relevant software packages, such as AutoCAD, Civils 3D, etc.

Experience of liaising with a range of clients across the public and private sectors

Excellent time management and communication skills

In the diverse role of Assistant Drainage Engineer, you will join an expert team of design engineers, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including :

Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to the relevant Section Agreements (namely S104, S106, etc.)

Producing drainage designs to align with industry standards and specifications

Liaising with a range of clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors

Contributing to a range of infrastructure design projects across the residential, commercial, and industrial spheres
