Location : Glasgow

Average Earnings : £32,924

Salary : £27.3K per annum (increase to £30.3K upon successful completion of probationary period)

Start date : 15th September 2025

We're looking for exceptional Gas Engineer Assistants, and here's the catch - we're not interested in your CV!

We want to uncover your values, skills, and cognitive abilities to enrich our team and promote diversity and inclusion. We are currently looking for Gas Engineer Assistants to support our Engineers in repairing, replacing, and laying new gas mains and services.

How you’ll support us on our mission to keep people safe and warm…

  • Support engineers on site and learn from them daily during gas service and mains repair activities.
  • Excavate / dig in the public / private highways, laying and repairing gas pipes, working in various outdoor environments safely and as part of a team.
  • Maintain the SGN vans and tools before and after each job.

Must be clean shaven : To ensure safety when wearing tight-fitting dust masks and breathing apparatus, you must be clean shaven and pass a face fit test.

Holds a valid UK driver’s licence : A full, valid UK driver’s licence is essential.
