Urgent Hiring : Secondary School Teaching Assistants – Sheffield (SEN Support)

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN)?

Hays Education is urgently recruiting experienced and enthusiastic Secondary School Teaching Assistants to work across a range of mainstream and specialist secondary schools in Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide 1 : 1 and group support for students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assist in delivering Education, Health and Care Plans (EHC plan).
  • Support classroom teachers with behaviour management and student engagement.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with SEN professionals, including speech therapists and educational psychologists.
  • Track and report on student progress and development.

    • Requirements :

  • Essential : Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN setting.
  • Strongmunication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable, andpassionate approach.
