Role Details

  • Shift Patterns : Rotating shifts of 5am-1pm, 8am-4pm, and 12pm-8pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Hourly Rate : £14.88 per hour plus a 5% shift allowance, totalling £32,026 per annum.
  • Team Environment : Work within a small, dedicated team reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Offloading & KANBAN : Manage the offloading of chemical products and consumables, following strict procedures.
  • Stock Management : Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock checks, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Recycling & Waste Handling : Oversee the loading of empty containers and arrange waste collections.
  • Housekeeping : Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the tank farm and outdoor areas.
  • Communication : Coordinate with forward carriers and schedule daily off-loading to optimise operations.
  • Teamwork : Collaborate effectively with colleagues, supporting each other to achieve shared goals.
  • Skills & Experience Required

  • Counterbalance FLT licence (externally accredited rather than in-house)
  • Previous experience in a supply chain / stock control position within a busy manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledgeof Microsoft Office (Excel), and any knowledgeof SAP or other warehouse management systems would be helpful but not essential
  • Ability to follow and create SOPs within an ISO9001, and 14001 environment
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools would be advantageous such as Kanban, FIFO, 5S etc
  • Competencies : Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive, flexible approach.
