Job description

Project Manager Infrastructure Projects (Client-Embedded Role)

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for delivering complex infrastructure design projects Join Assystem in a dynamic role embedded with a key client where youll lead the design aspects of major capital programmes across marine and onshore environments.

As the Design Project Manager youll play a pivotal role throughout the project lifecycledriving design development managing contracts and ensuring alignment with budget schedule and quality targets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage design development for marine and onshore infrastructure packages (Authority-led D&B ECI etc.)

Build and maintain productive supplier relationships; monitor performance across time cost quality

Work with Cost Team to manage budgets forecasts and expenditure reporting

Collaborate with Planning Team to track project milestones and delivery schedules

Apply strong risk and change management practices using configuration systems

Lead project assurance activities and gateway reviews to ensure delivery confidence

Foster a high-performing team culture and support continuous improvement

Oversee contract closure ensuring financial and technical obligations are fully met

Qualifications : Essential :

Minimum 5 years experience in infrastructure design management roles

Strong hands-on experience managing delivery using NEC4 contracts including change management

Solid commercial understanding of cost and value; confident in challenging Compensation Events (CEs)

Experience with CEMAR or similar contract administration tools

Desirable :

Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (Project Management or Engineering)

Formal NEC PM accreditation or training

Experience with complex design projects in highly regulated environments

Working knowledge of Primavera P6 for schedule planning and tracking

Permanent Staff or Umbrella Contractor

Due to the nature of this role the successful candidate will require Security clearance. To gain this they will be required to be a Sole UK national  Hybrid working from home / Assystem Office.  3 Days a week would be expected in our clients offices in Glasgow.
