Upholstery Operative

Pickles Recruitment are looking for an experienced and skilled upholsterer.

Based at a fantastic firm, you will be part of a skilled and tight-knit team, you will be making and upholstering bespoke furniture.

Full job description

• Sound knowledge of all aspects of upholstery and proven experience to upholster seating and furniture to customer specification and high-quality standards.
• Liaise with Upholstery Manager to problem solve technical upholstery related issues on projects.
• Deputise the Upholstery Manager when necessary to order standard foam to maintain stock levels.
• Deputise the Upholstery Manager when necessary to liaise with Office Staff to order any bespoke upholstery and finishing materials to maintain stock levels.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Able to work from production drawings.
• Technical skills and experience.
• Ability to take up a project from start to finish.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements.
• Problem solving.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Provide outstanding workmanship at all times.
• Eye for detail and pride in what you do.
• You will be required to work both individually and as part of a team.
• This role is workshop based with some occasional site fitting (upholstery aspects only).
