Job description

Job Title : Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location : Sheffield

Hours : Rotating 4 on 4 off continental shifts (Days : 06 : 00–18 : 00 / Nights : 18 : 00–06 : 00)

Salary : £50,000 per annum

Holiday : 35 days per year

Bonus : Monthly performance bonus of up to 5% (based on production output)

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Summary :

Following substantial site investment and internal progression, opportunities have arisen to join a growing electrical maintenance team. As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient plant operation through high-quality maintenance, repair, and fault-finding work on a range of industrial equipment.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities :

Deliver first-line response to plant breakdowns and electrical faults

Perform planned maintenance activities in line with the engineering schedule

Ensure all electrical activities comply with safety, environmental, and operational standards

Support shift planning where electrical expertise is required

Lead or participate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

Produce accurate engineering reports and technical documentation

Support and mentor apprentices and less experienced team members

Contribute to team-based problem solving and the development of best practices

Electrical Maintenance Engineer Requirements :

Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial environment

Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities

Sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical manuals

Excellent communication and planning skills

NVQ Level 3, City &; Guilds, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (essential)

Experience working in heavy industry or manufacturing preferred
