CNC Turner

We are urgently seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join our client's team in Southend-on-Sea, supporting a growing workload. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-precision environment, with clear routes for career progression—including the potential to move into a Senior CNC Turner or CNC Lead role.

About the Role

  • Operate and set CNC Turning Machines, including lathes, turning mills, and bar feeders
  • Work with high-tolerance components and a range of materials (Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Inconel)
  • Use CNC machines with Fanuc, Seiki, and Heidenhain controls
  • Maintain quality control in line with business and customer standards
  • Collaborate with the team to meet production targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Report directly to the Production Manager

Who We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years' experience setting and operating CNC turning machines (programming experience desirable)
  • Ability to set and run Fixed Head and / or Sliding Head CNC Turning Machines (Fanuc and Seiki controls)
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and machining processes
  • Experience with bar feed machines; experience with twin spindle / twin turret machines is a plus
  • Able to read engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
