We're looking for a dedicated Day Shift Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Manchester-based dairy manufacturing plant. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a keen eye for detail, this role is perfect for you! Main Duties & Responsibilities :

• Preventative Maintenance :
• Implement and manage maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns.
• Identify and highlight potential equipment failures.
• Perform maintenance activities safely and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Manage site services, including steam systems.
• Breakdown Repairs :
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform fault finding on pneumatic systems, metal fabrication, and TIG welding.
• Use problem-solving techniques to effect repairs and resume production quickly.
• Commissioning / Installation :
• Identify and implement improvements in plant and equipment.
• Install and commission new equipment, liaising with suppliers and other departments as needed. Knowledge and Skills Required :
• ONC / HNC engineering qualifications with strong mechanical skills.
