Job description

Link3 Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced Room Leader and qualified Early Years Practitioners (part-time or full-time) to join a dynamic team located in BS20 Portishead.

Room Leader Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of Early Years Practitioners within a designated room
  • Design and implement a high-quality curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Monitor and maintain exceptional standards of care, education, and safeguarding
  • Support and mentor team members, contributing to ongoing professional development
  • Act as Deputy in the absence of the Nursery Manager
  • Foster positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents / carers

Essential Criteria :

  • Minimum Level 4 qualification in Early Years or a related field
  • At least two years leadership experience in an early years setting
  • Comprehensive understanding of EYFS and safeguarding procedures
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS and satisfactory professional references
  • Early Years Practitioner Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment to support children's learning and wellbeing
  • Contribute to observations, assessments, and progress tracking for individual children
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with families and team members
  • Attend to children s personal care needs with sensitivity and high hygiene standards
  • Essential Criteria :

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to providing outstanding early years care and education
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
