Children's Support Worker

Location : Oldham

Position : Full-Time, Permanent

Salary : £13.63 per hour + £55 per sleep-in shift

Shifts : 24-hour and day shifts on a rota basis

Join our client's dedicated team at a Children's Residential Home in Oldham and help transform futures for children with emotional and behavioural needs. The home is a solo home, so its a real opportunity to provide 1 : 1 care!

What You'll Do as Children's Support Worker here :

  • Provide nurturing emotional and physical support in a structured and safe environment
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people
  • Encourage positive behaviour using trauma-informed approaches
  • Support educational, social, and recreational development
  • Handle day-to-day routines-from meals and transport to appointments
  • Work closely with colleagues and professionals to deliver consistent care
  • Contribute to a culture that prioritises teamwork and child-focused outcomes

What We're Looking For in a Children's Support Worker :

  • Genuine passion for working with children and young people
  • Resilience, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including 24-hour cover and weekends
  • Full UK driving licence required
  • Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Experience in a similar setting is a strong advantage
