Senior Mechanical Estimator – London

Major M&E Contractor | London (with international reach) | £100K+

GEDON Executive is proud to partner with a leading Mechanical & Electrical contractor in their search for a Senior Mechanical Estimator to join their London-based team. This is a standout opportunity to take on a senior role within a business that delivers technically complex, high-value projects across Europe in the Data Centre and Pharmaceutical sectors.

About the Role

You’ll play a central role in developing competitive tenders and pricing strategies for some of the most innovative and fast-paced projects in the industry. This is a strategic position within a business that places real value on its estimators, with visibility at board level and input into project acquisition and delivery planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of mechanical estimating on large-scale M&E bids in the high-tech sector
  • Review and interpret specifications, drawings, and technical documents
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate, market-aligned pricing
  • Work collaboratively with the pre-construction and operations teams
  • Support tender submissions with breakdowns, cost justifications, and value engineering options
  • Play a key role in project handovers and pricing strategy discussions

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in mechanical estimating within the M&E contracting sector
  • Demonstrable success on major projects, ideally in data centre, pharmaceutical, or advanced manufacturing environments
  • Strong attention to detail, commercial insight, and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • London-based or open to commuting into the region
